Jigsaw is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join our Interior Design team in our busy Poole Studio

Founded in 2005, Jigsaw has enjoyed considerable growth in this emerging industry of interior architecture. We are a close-knit team with a wealth of experience within our design studio located in Poole and remote working designers in London producing schemes for private residential, residential developments and commercial projects.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Ensuring accurate stock management within the multiple warehouse locations
  • Data entry for stock in take
  • Update computer systems on a continual basis.
  • The role will involve dealing with inbound and outbound deliveries which may include heavy lifting
  • Ability to carry out DIY work and general repairs within warehouse and during installations
  • Preparing furniture for dispatch, loading, and unloading of deliveries
  • Installations – Support lead installers on-site with tasks and assembly/installation of furniture components.
  • Travel UK wide for installations
  • Undergo installation training on the job under supervision.
  • Daily warehouse care and attention with tidying stock, cleanliness, stock movement.
  • Cover for other staff members as required.

The required individual should meet the following criteria:

  • Have a hands-on approach and take initiative in identifying tasks to action.
  • Computer literate – with basic knowledge on Microsoft Windows, Outlook, and Excel.
  • The ability to run and work confidently and independently on maintenance tasks
  • Strong hand skills and experience using hand tools and power tools
  • Problem solver and works well under pressure
  • The successful candidate will have previously worked in a similar role and due to the nature of the role, you will need to be physically fit
  • Have a ‘Can do’ mentality and motivated to work.
  • Be prepared to adapt quickly to changing business needs and follow instructions.
  • Have passion for products, ensure careful handling to prevent damage.
  • Be courteous, polite, and customer-focused, to ensure that their customers receive the best possible customer experience.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in general power tool usage
  • Good communicator
  • Overall, you will need to be reliable, enthusiastic, and hard-working.
  • Work flexibly as part of the team.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Ideally)
  • Knowledge and/or experience in elementary woodworking
  • Installation experience – Minimum of 1 year site experience

This is a full-time position. All candidates should be eligible to work in the UK. 45 hours per week
