Fashioning homes from an old clothing factory

June 27th, 2017

The Cotton Exchange in Stoke Newington is a unique and exciting warehouse conversion in which 35 loft style apartments have been fashioned from a disused, former clothing factory. These one and two bedroom apartments, located in the very heart of the town, benefit from an interesting mezzanine level which creates a double height living/dining space and a contemporary, industrial feel. The design scheme celebrates the original architectural features, such as the large metal framed windows and exposed steels within the building, incorporating them into the stylish, fresh new interiors. Jigsaw’s interior architectural and design brief also included the entrance, concierge reception and residents’ communal spaces.
