Stage 1: Inspiration phase

The Metropolitan, Poole, Dorset (Client: Juno Developments)

When designing a show home scheme, a great way to stimulate ideas is to find images relating to specific colours, textures of styles that are initially favoured – kind of like a visual mind map. Whilst soaking up current trends, we enjoy looking at a variety of magazine-style room shots, selecting snippets of each image to put our own spin on and create an individual and unique looking end result.

Stage 1: Inspiration Phase, Jigsaw Interior Architecture

The Metropolitan is an upcoming show home which is an ideal example to use. Images on this inspiration board reflect the sensitive approach we are trying to take towards the existing Art Deco inspired architecture of this landmark former Police Station. The uses of raw materials like concrete and black metals within the specification of this development are mirrored by the injection of mixed metals and earthy colours within the furniture and accessories.
