Cool whites and natural textures at Sandbanks Road

Nestled amongst pines this spacious, contemporary home called for a cool and calming colour scheme suited to its coastal setting, maximising the natural light which floods in through the large windows and sky lights. Jigsaw used the variety of textures found in natural materials and a white colour palette as inspiration for the property’s interior finishes.

Carrara marble and soft grey wooden effect porcelain tiling contrast with cool geometrics to create a serene, modern and airy feel in the bathrooms.

Anchoring the kitchen is an island with a squared edged, chunky, stone coloured quartz worktop with delicate grey seams. The solidity of the quartz is offset by the clean lines of the cabinetry in palest oak and white.

The living room’s airiness is punctuated by accents of gold and black which complement the limed oak effect tile flooring and white upholstery. The main focal point is a sleek contemporary gas fireplace and in one corner a glazed office stylishly provides a separate room for work while preserving the sense of space and light on the ground floor.

A bespoke headboard in the master bedroom and a hallway console table were crafted by a local artisan from heavily textured, stained reclaimed wood to contrast with the supple faux furs and weaves of the soft furnishings.

A wealth of varying textures in soft whites and pale greys create a contemporary design throughout the living areas and four bedrooms. The finished result is both inviting and warm, with an inherent sense of luxury.
